Our guest speaker is Donald Steel:

Donald is an international responder, trainer and speaker on crisis communications. He works in the UK, Europe, the Balkans, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific. He was previously the BBC’s Chief Media Spokesman for 11 years where his experience included terrorism, murder, kidnapping and high profile diplomatic crisis. He is also a Director of Crisis Communications at Kenyon International Emergency Services, the world’s largest commercial responder to incidents involving mass fatality or injury. For Kenyon, he has worked on a range of serious incidents, including commercial aircraft crashes and terrorism. His special interests include the dynamics of social media in civil emergencies and how the smartphone is changing citizen behaviour. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.
