On the 1st June 2018 the LMN hosted an insight day in the Lloyd’s Old Library for 50 currently serving, ex-military and reservist individuals looking to transition into the insurance industry.
The LMN exists to enable ex-military and serving reservist personnel to realise their full potential, and the insight day aimed to bridge the knowledge and experience gap for individuals leaving the military
The afternoon included an overview of insurance and an introduction to a variety of roles that might be suitable for service leavers. We were delighted to have the following speakers provide their insight:

The LMN run a placement scheme across the market for ex-military in transition and serving reservists twice a year, to de-risk the transition process and connect service leavers with potential employers. In the four years that the placement programme has been running, over 80% of candidates have gone on to secure full time employment in the industry, with a number of individuals now working for the Lloyd’s Corporation. Many service leavers have been recruited directly into companies after being introduced by the LMN.
