REVISED DATE – Webinar Talk 10th June 5pm 2020 – Lieutenant Colonel Andrew Todd

Following on from the cancelled 10th March talk by Lieutenant Colonel Andrew Todd, this will now be taking place on the 10th June at 5pm as a Webinar.

Lieutenant Colonel Andrew – Todd of the Royal Gurkha Rifles, who helped rescue climbers from Mount Everest following the massive earthquake in Nepal in April 2015. Andrew Todd, led the 2015 Everest Expedition’s attempt to put the first serving Gurkha on the summit to mark the 200th year of Gurkha service to the Crown, when the quake struck on 25th April 2015 causing an avalanche on the mountain which killed 22 climbers. He then returned with his team in 2017 and recovered the body of world-famous climber, Ueli Steck, before thirteen of the team reached the summit on 16 May 2017
