The City Veterans Network presents: “Leading in Crisis with General Stan McChrystal” 6pm 31st March 2020
March 31, 2020
With the sudden and complex challenges we and our firms will face for the foreseeable future there is still space for us to come together, albeit virtually. I am delighted to announce that we have been offered an exclusive opportunity to personally hear from General Stan McChrystal. He has offered to host a webinar (register here) directly for our members and their networks in which he will be sharing his thoughts about Leadership During Crisis. This will be very useful to us all and especially the colleagues around us who have never trained for or experienced a VUCA environment like the one we find ourselves in today.
General McChrystal is no stranger to crisis and to creating adaptability against the toughest odds. His Team of Teams approach was born out of the need to drive collaboration across a globally dispersed Joint Special Operations Command. This required him to set up an effective communications platform across a significant number of international government and military organisations contributing to the fight against Al Qaeda in Iraq and latterly when he commanded in Afghanistan.
The webinar, scheduled to take place on 31 March at 6pm GMT (1pm EST), is a unique opportunity to invite you, your networks, senior leaders, and culture carriers of your organisations to understand how they can better position themselves to adapt in this time of global crisis. Many of our veteran and reservist colleagues are being asked to step up and help lead the response. This is a great example where we collectively highlight the thought leadership and true value of veterans in a commercial setting.
